Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt (unrefined)
  • 12-16 ounces filtered water (room temperature or warm)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar with mother (optional)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root, grated (optional)
  • 2-3 fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional)

Equipment

  • large glass or jar
  • measuring spoons
  • citrus juicer (optional)
  • mixing spoon or straw
  • microplane or grater (for ginger, optional)

Method

  1. Start with room temperature filtered water in a large glass. Avoid plastic containers as they can interfere with mineral absorption.
  2. Use exactly 1/4 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt. This supports electrolyte balance without overdoing sodium intake.
  3. Add lemon juice and optional honey. Lemon enhances absorption; honey adds sweetness.
  4. Stir the drink vigorously for 30–45 seconds until all salt is fully dissolved and no granules remain.
  5. If using ginger, ACV, or other optional ingredients, add them now for boosted benefits.
  6. Consume immediately after mixing. Sip slowly over 5–10 minutes for best digestive results.

Notes

Use Celtic salt if Himalayan isn’t available. For lower sodium, cut the salt to 1/8 tsp. Make it keto by skipping the honey and adding MCT oil. Avoid preparing ahead — drink fresh within 10 minutes for maximum potency.
