Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef 90% lean
  • 1 medium onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 10.75 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook egg noodles until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic, cook until softened.
  3. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Season with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in sour cream.
  5. Layer half the noodles, meat mixture, and cheese in a 9×13 baking dish. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley.
