Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the glaze:
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment or lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, combine onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and pepper.
  3. Add eggs, water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Mix gently.
  4. Incorporate ground beef and mix until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Shape into a loaf in the prepared pan or freeform on a sheet.
  6. Whisk glaze ingredients and spread half over the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes, then add remaining glaze and bake another 15-20 minutes or until internal temp reaches 160°F.
  8. Let rest 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
