  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons raw honey or monk fruit sweetener
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper optional
  • 8-10 ounces filtered water
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Pour filtered water into a glass (use more for a milder taste or less for a stronger tonic).
  2. Add apple cider vinegar to the water.
  3. Stir in lemon juice for flavor and added vitamin C.
  4. Add honey or monk fruit to sweeten the mix.
  5. Incorporate cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne pepper if using.
  6. Stir or shake thoroughly until all ingredients are blended.
  7. Serve immediately or steep for 30 minutes to deepen flavor.
