This timeless comfort dish features tender chicken in a creamy sauce topped with buttery Ritz crackers. It’s quick, easy, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for any family dinner or potluck.

- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
- 2 cups Ritz crackers, crushed (about 1½ sleeves)
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Shred or cube cooked chicken.
- In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Fold chicken (and optional vegetables) into the sauce until well coated.
- In another bowl, crush Ritz crackers and mix with melted butter.
- Spread chicken mixture into baking dish, top with cheddar cheese, then the cracker mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let rest 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for convenience. Swap sour cream for Greek yogurt. For gluten-free, use GF crackers and soup. Add fresh parsley for garnish or use ramekins for individual servings.
